Yvonne M. Wigant

Yvonne Wigant, 60, of Orion, Illinois, died unexpectedly in her home on Friday, July 14, 2023.

Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley, Illinois. Friends are invited to join the family at a memorial service at 6 p.m. following the visitation. Private burial will be in Moline Memorial Park at a later date.

Yvonne Marie Courter was born February 15, 1963, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Michael and Joyce Marie (Collins) Courter.  She graduated from J. D. Darnell High School in 1981, and from Black Hawk College with a nursing degree. She married Charles Wigant on May 26, 1984, in Orion. She was a registered nurse and was employed by United Health Care currently teaching appeals procedures.  She previously worked at John Deere Insurance, Illini Hospital and for several physicians.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband on their motorcycle, watching her grandchildren grow, flowers and plants, flea markets and refurbishing antiques, and reading.  She loved her dogs, Cooper and Marley, and her cats, Hoddle and Jerry.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Charles; her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Lorne Reid of Orion; six grandchildren, Addi, Leighton, Maxwell, Margaret, Vivienne, and Emerson; brother, Michael Courter Jr. of St. Joseph, Illinois; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Angie and John Rogers of Harvard, Illinois, and Danielle and Bill Fanning of Ottawa, Illinois. Yvonne is preceded in death by her great grandmother Mattie Murdoch, Harold Collins Jr, Francis and James White, her parents Michael Courter Sr, and Joyce Courter,  and Leslee Collins.
