Yvonne M. Serrano-Hollenback

Yvonne M. "Von" Serrano-Hollenback, 60, of Colona, Illinois, died Friday, May 17, 2019, at St. Anthony's Care Center, Rock Island.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Davenport, with The Rev. Apo T. Mpanda officiating. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family, care of David Serrano.

The former Yvonne Marie Serrano was born November 27, 1958, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of David J. and Betty Lou (Gadaire) Serrano. She was a jack of all trades who worked at various bars in the area, as well as Midland Press and the Quad City Airport as a gate agent.

She loved to travel, especially to the ocean and beach. Her favorite trips were her yearly travels to St. Martins with her close friends from childhood. Above all else, family and friends were the most important thing to Von. She also loved her many cats over the years dearly.

Von is survived by her parents, Betty Barnes of East Moline, Illinois, and David (Barbara) Serrano of Davenport; siblings, Annette Stanley of Moline, and her children, Adrienne and Matthew, Doug Dudolski of Davenport, and his children, Breanna and Creanna, Jeff (Kim) Serrano of Piedmont, Missouri, and their children, Christina, Cassandra, Brenden, Cameron, and Addison, Brenda Serrano-Gluck of Davenport, and her children, Nicole and Michael, David (Lori) Serrano II of Davenport, and Paul Letterman of Rock Island; an aunt, Claudine Patten; and many close friends, including a special friend, Ed. She was preceded in death by a nephew, David "D.J." Serrano III and her best friend Paul Michl.
