Funeral Services for William F. Swisher will be 1:00 PM Thursday, May 9, 2002 at First United Methodist Church, Port Byron, Illinois with the Reverend Sally Hamon officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, Illinois. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Organ Fund at First United Methodist Church of Port Byron. William F. Swisher 85, of East Moline, Illinois died Saturday, May 4, 2002 at Illini Hospital in Silvis, Illinois. William Floyd Swisher was born July 15, 1916 in Blue Grass, Iowa the son of Floyd and Clara (Winfield) Swisher. He married Rose Lepera in Dumont, New Jersey who preceded him in death. He then married Helen M. (Eichstaedt) Carlson in November of 1967 in Avon, Illinois, she preceded him in death on August 1, 1998. Mr. Swisher was a tool and die maker for A. and S. Tool and Die for over 30 years, and served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Swishers survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Dennis Love of Sterling, Oklahoma; three step-children and their spouses, Richard and Mary Ellen Carlson of Geneseo, Illinois, Sam (Barbara) and Michael Dalin of Geneseo, Illinois, and Deborah Owens of Moline, Illinois; four step-grandchildren, Jennifer Passini, Robert Dalin, Matt Wilson, and Amy Wilson; and a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Ruth Swisher of Leesburg, Florida.
