William E. Grace

January 22, 1938 — February 23, 2016

William E. Grace, Sr., 78, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at St. Anthony's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island, Illinois.

A hospitality gathering is 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Prior to services, cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

He was born January 22, 1938, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Martin and Monica (McLaughlin) Grace. He married Donna Honts on July 3, 1962, and the couple was later divorced.

Bill worked in concrete in the Quad Cities and Muscatine area. He enjoyed buying cars and joy riding.

He is survived by three children, Sherrie Hesford of Davenport, William Jr. and Dawn Grace of Davenport, and Joe Grace of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Ben Hesford of Arizona, William Grace of Peoria, Illinois, and Tiffany Gonzales of Davenport; a great-granddaughter, Katie Gonzales; siblings, Mary Theresa Martinez, Bernadine Kirk, and Bernie, Terry, Frankie, Jimmy, and Raymond Grace; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean, a brother, Marty Joe Grace, and his lifelong best friend, Danny Valdivia.
