William B. Bedard

William B. Bedard, Jr., 75, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Peoria, Illinois, died Friday, August 21, 2015, in his home.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at First Evangelical Free Church, Moline, where he was a member. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services, Memorials may be made to the Bill Bedard Memorial Fund. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is serving the family.

Bill was born January 1, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to Arla Mae (Larsen) and William B. Bedard, Sr. He married Judith Lynn Weinberger on December 9, 1961, in Appleton. He served in the U. S. Navy for nine years, including six tours on the USS Simon Bolivar, a Polaris submarine. He owned and operated Quality Roofing in Moline from 1984 to 1996, and retired from ConAm in 2009. He enjoyed fishing and bowling, and was a life-long Green Bay Packer fan.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lynn; his daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Mark Zmuda of Coal Valley, Illinois; grandchildren, Caleb, Scott, and Bethany Zmuda; and his brother, Terry Bedard of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Bedard, his parents, and a brother Ronald Bedard.
