Moline, Illinois Willard M. Logan, 87, of Moline, died Friday, December 19, 2003, in Ilini Restorative Care, Silvis. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Roger Christianson will officiate. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal where Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline. Willard Mason Logan was born March 4, 1916, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Robert and Hannah (Norman) Logan. He married Edna Maxine Gile on September 24, 1940, in Marshalltown. He served in the U. S. Army in the European Theater in WW II, and received four bronze battle stars and the Purple Heart. He was employed at International Harvester East Moline Works for over 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, American Legion Post #246, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Willard is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Dana Logan of Naperville, Illinois; Two grandchildren, Drew and Jennifer Logan; and a sister, Katherine Harrison of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a sister, Edna Rainwater, and a brother, Robert Logan. Remembrances and condolences may be shared with the family at www.TrimbleFuneralHomes.com.
