Wilhelmina E. "Willie" Easter, 62, of Silvis, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.
Services are 12 Noon Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, 601 21st Street, Moline, with Rev Al Ousley, New Journey AME Church, officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline, Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to 12 Noon Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society.
Wilhelmina Elaine Easter was born February 17, 1949, to William A. Easter, Sr. and Catherine Hopkins Easter. She graduated from Scott Community College, and was patient receptionist at CSP Robert Young Center at Trinity Rock Island for several years, last working Monday, March 21, 2011. She previously worked at The ARC of Rock Island County for 20 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed dominos with friends, baking, playing computer games.
Willie is survived by her long-time companion, Daniel Breadberg of Silvis; her mother, Catherine Harvey of Knoxville, Illinois; four children and their spouses, Anthony and Deneen Easter of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, Chanea and Charles Drummond of Moline, Dana Easter of Moline, and Kim McJunkins of Chicago; nine grandchildren, Jathan and Alannah Easter, Chelsea and Chyna Drummond, Audrey Navarro and her fiancé Joshua Reinhoehl, Ashton Easter, Damon and Drake Mason, and Chelsea Reeves; siblings, her twin brother William A. Easter Jr. and his wife Sue and Michael J. Easter, all of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Esther Mae Easter of Huntsville, Alabama, and LaWanda Smith of Urbana, Illinois; her god-daughter, Jeanna Earley of Moline; her surrogate mother, Mary Cotton of Rock Island; and special friends, Sherri Berhenke of Moline and Sandra Moens of Silvis. She was preceded in death by her father, William A. Easter, Sr.; her step-father, Lonnie Harvey; and a special aunt Esther Richardson.
