Moline, Illinois Wilbur Woolley, 77, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, in his home. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, Illinois. Private burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to the Heritage Society of Milton, Iowa. Mr. Woolley was born March 27, 1924, in rural Rock Island County, Illinois, the son of William and Iva (Carver) Woolley. He married Pauline Hamburg on March 9, 1946, in Galesburg, Illinois. He and his wife lived in the Milton, Iowa, area from 1952 until moving to Moline in 1996. He was supervisor at Mid-States Manufacturing and Engineering, Milton, for 20 years, retiring in 1986, and previously farmed near Milton for 19 years. He served on the Milton City Countil and was Mayor of Milton. He was a member of the Milton Heritage Society and the Milton Neighborhood Watch. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and helping other people. Wilbur is survived by his wife, Pauline, and several nieces and nephews and their families, including Phyllis Reed and Janet Fox of Sherrard, Illinois, Linda Hall of Walnut, Illinois, and Leon Borst of Croswell, Michigan.
