Wickum Stone

Cindy Wickum Stone, 49, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, December 21, 2008, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.

There will be a gathering of friends and family from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. A private graveside service and entombment will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Cindy Stone Memorial Fund which the family will donate for cancer research.

The former Cynthia Lou Wickum was born December 27, 1958, in Moline, the daughter of Richard and Loretta (Hoeg) Wickum. She graduated from Moline High School in 1977, and married Richard E. Stone on September 6, 1980, in Moline. She was a cake decorator and manager at Olde Town Bakery in Moline for 15 years, last working in 2002. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, loved her work as a cake decorator, and loved her dog Nikko and her cat Izzy.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Rick; two daughters and their fiancées, Jennifer Stone and Josh Hensley and Amy Stone and Joseph Taets, all of Moline; two grandchildren, Taylor Stone and Kaylee Taets; her parents, Lori and Dick Wickum of Moline; a sister, Linda Chin and her daughter Courtney Lake of Rock Island; an aunt and uncle, Eraine and Joe Perron of Coal Valley; her parents-in-law, Pat and Ray Stone of Moline; and a special friend, Kathie Vroman of Rock Island. She will be missed by a large and loving family and many good friends.
