Wayne R. Dismer

Wayne R. Dismer, Sr., 72, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Andover, Illinois, died Thursday, August 16, 2018, in Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.

Services are 3 p.m. Sunday at Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover, with The Rev. Reed Pedersen officiating. Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory and private burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

Wayne Richard Dismer was born April 7, 1946, in Davenport, to Walter and Marie Wagner Dismer. H graduated from Moline High School and Black Hawk College, and served in the U. S. Army Signal Corps. He married Connie Bremer on June 27, 1970, in Denver, Colorado. He was employed by NCR Corporation for many years. He belonged to Augustana Lutheran Church, loved spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Connie; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Jr. and Elizabeth Dismer of Bettendorf; a son-in-law, Mark Eubank of Davenport; five grandchildren, Jackson, Connor, Karma, Rowan, and Autumn; and sisters Betty Newcomb of Davenport, and Jean Steelman of Moline. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Eubank; his parents; and a brother, Walter Dismer.
