Bradley William Smith, 40, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, January 15, 2007, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, Illinois.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Elim Covenant Church, Moline, with Reverend Darren Olson officiating. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to an educational fund for his daughter.
Brad was born June 20, 1966, in Moline, the son of William and Marilyn (McFarland) Smith. He attended the University of Illinois and Western Illinois University. He had been married to Lori Fowler. He was employed by various local companies until disability forced him to retire in 2000. He was a member of Elim Covenant Church, Moline, an avid Bears and Illini fan, and enjoyed skiing, golf, and swimming prior to his illness.
Brad is survived by his mother, Marilyn Smith of Moline; his daughter, Elizabeth Smith of Moline; his sister, Adrienne Stromberg and her children, Stuart and Brooke, of Lewiston, Idaho; his fiancée Pamela Mason of Moline; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, William Smith, and his grandparents.
