W. C. “Bill” Green, 69, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, with burial following at Western Township Cemetery in Orion, Illinois. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family.
Willie Clarence Green was born March 24, 1937, in Swanee, Tenneessee. The son of and Paul and Rosie (Schrumm) Green. He married the former Mary Haynes in 1955, then Married Eileen (Muhleman) Peters on June 28, 1991, in Orion, Illinois. Bill was employed as a heavy equipement operator through the Local Operators Union 150 for various construction companies, and retiring from BFI in 1999. Bill enjoyed; hunting, fishing, Nascar, working in his garden, watching John Wayne movies, collecting; toy tractors, watch faubs, and belt buckles, his dog, Mack, and his bird, Pete.
Bill is survived by his; wife, Eileen, mother, Rosie Green of Dunlap, Tenneessee, three sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Green of Tracey City, Tenneessee, David and Leanna Green of Warren, Wyoming, and Ron Peters and his fiancée Raelene Paschov of Coal Valley, two daughters and a son-in-law, Shelly and Troy Shehorn of Coal Valley, and Sherry Dooley of Milan, Illinois, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Richard Green of Mont Eagle, Tenneessee, and Eugene and Faye Green of Morrisson, Tenneessee, two sisters, and a brother-in-law, Mary Louise Green of Sequatchie, Tenneessee, and Peggy and Steve Winton of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, two brothers-in-law, Arlyn Muhleman of Milan, and Gerald Muhleman of Orion, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Betty Singleton.
