Vivian E. Kuhlman, 86, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Friday, September 29, 2006, in Pathway Hospice at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Private family services are 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family is 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robert Young Center, Rock Island.
The former Vivian Elaine Johnson was born February 17, 1920, in Little York, Illinois, the daughter of John H. and Margaret P. (Bonkes) Johnson. She married Harvey Kuhlman on September 7, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a nurses aide in the pediatric department of the former Moline Public Hospital for 12 years, retiring in 1981. She loved to cook and spend time at their cabin on Cedar River, and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles.
Vivian is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harvey; three children and their spouses, Robert W. and Mary Harms of Alexis, Illinois, Janis L. Kuhlman of Moline, and James H. and Christine Kuhlman of Geneseo, Illinois; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her brother, Everett H. Johnson of East Moline. She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
