Virginia L. Ringquist, 86, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Heartland Health Care, Sarasota, Florida.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, 1201 13th Street, Moline. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is serving the family.
The former Virginia Lee Daniels was born June 19, 1935, in Moline, to William and Faye (Lindley) Daniels. She married Burdette “Burt” Ringquist on January 31, 1954, in Moline. He died July 10, 2019. She graduated from United Township High School and Blackhawk College. She was a secretary for the Moline School District #40 and various other places.
Virginia was a member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline, where she was actively involved for many years, and she was a current member of Harvest United Methodist Church in Lakewood Ranch. She also volunteered for numerous organizations over the years. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Above all else, family is the most important thing to Virginia.
Virginia is survived by four children, Kirk (Sissy) Ringquist of Nikiski, Alaska, Karen Ringquist of Schaumburg, Illinois, Kent (Pam) Ringquist of Lakewood Ranch, and Kyle (Paul Nesbit) Ringquist of Provincetown, Massachusetts; seven grandchildren, Kelsie, Logan, Nash, Alexis, Nolan, and Cole Ringquist and Matthew Karriem; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Dorothy Nelson.
