Verdell D. Hill, Jr.

Verdell D. Hill, Jr., 48, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Rock Island, Illinois, died Saturday, April 30, 2022.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services.

Verdell was born January 19, 1974, in Rock Island, the son of Verdell D. Sr. and Maggie Ellen (Brown) Hill.

He was a well-known music producer and enjoyed doing yardwork and cooking. Above all else, Verdell loved spending time with his friends and family.

Verdell is survived by his beloved son, Deonte Griffin, and Deonte’s mother, Stephanie Griffin, both of East Moline; two sisters, Nichelle Hill (Clifton Hudson), and Tyra (Derrick) Williams, both of Davenport; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Lucille Barnes, Alma King, and Odell Brown.
