Vera Mae Anderson

Services for Vera M. Anderson, 91, formerly of Moline, are 10 a.m. Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, Molinel. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Oak Glen Home where she had resided.

Mrs. Anderson died Monday, December 24, 2001, in Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.

The former Vera Mae Holdefer was born May 16, 1910, in Donaldson, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Stella (Matthews) Holdefer. She married Harold B. Anderson on October 15, 1942, in Kahoka, Missouri. He died January 21, 1978. She was employed in the office of Montgomery Elevator Company for 19 years, retiring in 1977. She previously worked in the office at Moline Consumers. She was a member of Moline Vikings, and enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, reading and gardening.

Vera is survived by her daughter, Dianne Larson, and a granddaughter and her husband, Kelly and Gene Ward, all of Moline. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall Holdefer. This memorial may be viewed, and condolences sent to the family, at www.TrimbleFuneralHomes.com.
