Vera I. Metzler

Rock Island, Illinois Services for Vera I. Metzler, 87, of Rock Island, are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Rick White, Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, will officiate. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, where she was a member. Mrs. Metzler died Saturday, November 2, 2002, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. The former Vera Irene Boehm was born December 16, 1914, in Rural Township, Rock Island County, Illinois, the daughter of John G. and Ruth (Nelson) Boehm. She married Richard R. Metzler on May 25, 1940, in Moline. He died November 21, 1985. Vera is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Pat Metzler of Kenosha, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Brandi Livingston and her husband Tim of Bondurant, Iowa, and Ryan Metzler of Green Bay, Wisconsin; one great-grandson, Wyatt Livingston; a brother, Virgil Boehm, and a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bob Menster, all of Paradise, California.
