Aledo, Illinois V. Marguerite Johnson, 85, of Aledo, died Monday, July 1, 2002 at the Mercer County Nursing Home, Aledo. Funeral Services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mercer County Nursing Home or Hamlet-Perryton Presbyterian Church. Marguerite was born on February 5, 1917 in Buffalo Prairie, Illinois to Otto And Anna (Galloway) Dillie. She married Donn E. Johnson on December 25, 1935 in Aledo. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1961. Marguerite and her husband owned and operated Mar-Donn's Market and garage in Sugar Grove and Mar-Donn's lunch room in Aledo. She had also worked at the Mercer County Nursing Home for 18 years. Marguerite was a member of the former Perryton Presbyterian Church and the Sugar Grove Club. Marguerite is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward E. and Deborah Johnson of Peoria; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Allen of Reynolds; 6 grandchildren: Charisia, Robyn, Julie, Jason, Kara and Michael; 3 great-grandchildren: Macy, Morgan and Abbey; a sister and 2 brothers : Irene Newton of Shale City, IL; Ernest and Rosie Dillie of Schooner, WI and Richard Dillie of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son: Robert Donn Johnson; a grandson, Robert Donn Johnson; a sister, Dora Rideout and 4 brothers, Clarence, Kenneth, Raymond and Bill Dillie.
