Treva E. Lassuy

Moline, Illinois Treva Lassuy, 87, of Moline, died Tuesday, November 19, 2002, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church, Moline. The Reverend Dr. Kenneth Kline will officiate. Burial will be in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church. The former Treva Prout was born May 9, 1915, in Sherrard, Illinois, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Hillery) Prout. She married Philip H. Koehlhoeffer on March 2, 1941, in Coal Valley, Illinois. He was killed in in Italy in 1941 during WW II. She married Raymond Lassuy on April 5, 1947, in Pensacola, Florida. He died March 2, 1996. She was employed by Moline School District #40 as school secretary at Butterworth and Maple Grove Elementary Schools and Woodrow Wilson Junior High School for 25 years, retiring in 1980. She previously worked at International Harvester Farmall Works and Eagle Food Stores. She was a member of First Christian Church, Moline, Golden Circle Class of the church, Moline Family Campers, and Christian Women's Fellowship. She was an avid Bridge and Penny Ante card player. Treva is survived by three children and their spouses, Philip Koehlhoeffer, John and Tina Lassuy, and Marcia and Mark Frederiksen, all of Moline; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dale Prout of Amboy, Indiana.
