Tony J. Britton

Tony Britton, 49, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Saturday, December 9, 2023, in his home.

Visitation is 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline. Cremation will follow visitation at Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Tony Joe Britton was born April 21, 1974, in Davenport, Iowa, to Danny and Peggy (Hoeck) Britton. He married Carey DiCapua on December 13, 2016, in Rock Island, Illinois. He worked at Group O as a WFA Real Time Associate and was a member of the Illowa Chess Club. Tony enjoyed playing chess, watching the San Fransisco 49ers, and was a fan of Star Trek.

Tony is survived by his wife, Carey Britton; his children, Shane Simmons,  Breona Britton, and Tony Britton II; his mother, Peggy Hoeck; and his siblings, Kathy (Elvis) Nicholson, Joseph Britton, and Danny Britton. He is preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Kristopher.
