The former Toni Lee Hutchins was born August 1, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Robert Charles and Margaret Frances (Connelly) Hutchins. She was raised in Preemption, Illinois, and went on to graduate from Sherrard High School in 1962. She married the love of her life, Nicolaas “Nick” Huyten, on June 27, 1964, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in East Moline, Illinois.

A homemaker for most of her life, Toni also spent 20 years in the real estate industry. She was a former member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Coal Valley and a current member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport. Toni was a dedicated blood and blood product donor, proudly giving over 17 gallons in her lifetime.

She had a passion for cooking and loved traveling the world with her husband, Nick. Above all, Toni cherished her family. She found immense joy in attending her grandchildren’s sporting and dance events and spending time with her great-grandchildren.

Toni is survived by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Nick; her daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Mike Severson of Davenport; seven grandchildren, Michael Lister, Amanda Simmons, Megan Christensen, David Severson, Nicolaas Rowlands, Avery Rowlands, and Emerson Severson; six great-grandchildren with one on the way; and her brother, Jerry (Robbi) Hutchins of Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents; her cherished daughter, Tara Rowlands; and two brothers, Jay and Michael Hutchins.
