Teckla A. Baskin

Teckla A. Baskin, 93, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. 

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Zion Lutheran Church in St. lgnace, Michigan, St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa, or the charity of your choice. 

Teckla Ann Baskin was born September 3, 1930, in Newberry, Michigan, the daughter of Thor and Anne (Westburg) Person. She married Kenneth Baskin, whom preceded her in death in 2013. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years, and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa. 

She enjoyed spending her time golfing, playing bridge, and being with her family, especially her grandchildren.  

Teckla is survived by her children, Karen (Larry) Fuhr, Doug (Karen) Baskin, Greg (Amy) Baskin, Laura (Alexy) Mitchel, and Eric (Karen) Baskin; twelve grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Tillie Sidel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and grandchild, Grace Baskin.
