Taylor M. Kirklin-Tapia, 23, of Moline, Illinois, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 18, 2018.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Grace Bible Fellowship, Moline, with Rev. Mike Baldwin officiating. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.
Taylor Marquise Kirklin-Tapia was born October 17, 1994, in Moline, the son of Jose Tapia and Tamara Kirklin. After obtaining his GED, he attended Black Hawk College, where he earned his welding certificate.
He worked at Roy's Tacos in Milan, Sedona Staffing, and most recently as a roofer. He loved his children and his family. He was a polite, respectful, and loyal young man, who was very generous and willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed helping his grandpa work on the house and cars.
Taylor is survived by his parents, Tamara Kirklin of Moline, and Jose Tapia of Rock Island; maternal grandparents, Terry and Jerry Iams; paternal grandparents, Lisa Tapia and Jose Calvillo; his three children, Alec and Arika Kirklin, and their mother, Shereene Alsuleiman, of Moline, and Arianna Kirklin and her mother, Shawnquela Robinson, of Savanna, Illinois; a sister, Shaienne Tapia; brothers, Quanny, Quantrelle, Saalim and Jardae Tapia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Bob and Bonnie Kirklin, and Jose Tapia; his aunt, Anna Phelps; and a cousin, Amonte Tapia.
