Taeylor L. Matlick

Taeylor L. Matlick, 30, of East Moline, Illinois, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at home.

A hospitality gathering to celebrate Taeylor’s life will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19 at CityView Celebrations in the lower level of Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Taeylor Lenae Matlick was born May 22, 1991, in Silvis, Illinois, to Jamie Matlick. She loved music, Fast and The Fast and the Furious movies, and drawing. She had the biggest heart of anyone you will meet and would not hesitate to give anything to anyone in need. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Taeylor, and she especially loved being with her siblings and cousins.

Taeylor is survived by her mother and step-father, Jamie and Scott Ackerland of Preemption, Illinois; siblings, Kadie (Logan Ortner) Wilson of Sherrard, Illinois, Dylan Matlick of Preemption, Dakota and Wyatt Ackerland, both of Preemption, and Amber (Luke Gorney) Lunsford of Bettendorf; grandmothers, Tammy Stoneberger and Luann Matlick; aunts and uncles, Jennifer Matlick, Amy (Matt) Brekke, Amanda (Doug) Gross, Sara McColl, and Brandon Hammond; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Sidney Matlick; uncle, Jeffrey Matlick; and sister, Amanda Ackerland Mahar.
