Sylvester "Rambo" Williams, 59, of Davenport, Iowa, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 at his home.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. with a hospitality gathering to follow until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, Illinois. Cremation has taken place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
Sylvester was born January 12, 1957, in Roseau, Dominica, the son of Madaline Morris. His uncle, Peter Morris, helped to raise Sylvester. He married Carolyn Greaves on September 3, 1998.
He worked as a fisherman and a cement roller for Public Works in Dominica. After moving to Davenport, he worked for Tyson for 15 years as a clean up person.
Sylvester is survived by his wife, Carolyn; seven children, Magdalina Williams, Madelaine Williams, Violet Le, Heather Sorour, Jasmine Bruno, Simmie Greaves, and Eddie Harvey; 18 grandchildren; his brother John Williams, and many other brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
