Susan Price Ehmsen

Susan Price Ehmsen, 74, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, September 8, 2013, in Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at First Congregational Church, Moline, with The Reverend Jacqueline Perry officiating. The family will greet friends at a luncheon at the church following the service. Memorials may be made to Central Institute for the Deaf or Gallaudet University. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is in charge of services.

The former Susan Lee Price was born December 25, 1938, in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of Harper Norman and Barbara L. Heldenbrand Price. She was a Registered Nurse for 43 years, had worked at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport, Iowa, Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa, and Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, and retired from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline, Illinois. She was a member of First Congregational Church, Moline, and the church's Chancel Choir. Nursing was her hobby, and she enjoyed music, gardening, and reading.

Susan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Richard Sullivan of East Moline; two grandsons, Christopher and Matthew Ehmsen; and her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Lynn Price of Blue Grass, Iowa; and a niece, Tamara Vugrin and her family.
