Steven L. Rodgers

Steven L. Rodgers, 72, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Monday, April 5, 2021, in his home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church, LeClaire, Iowa. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Melody Oltmann officiating. Memorials may be made to Mission at the church or Quad Cities Veteran Outreach Center.

Steven Lee Rodgers was born January 21, 1949, in Davenport, Iowa, to James Winfield and Eva Judith (Nelson) Rodgers. He married Susan Meinert on May 11, 1970, in LeClaire, Iowa. He served in the US Air Force in Vietnam and was employed in the Street Department by the City of Rock Island.

In his free time, Steven enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his wife, Susan; two children, Kelly Rodgers and Steven Rodgers and his wife Renee, all of Bettendorf, Iowa; five grandchildren, Christian Colmenares-Rodgers, and Stephen, Ethan Nolan and Eve Rodgers; and siblings, Kathy Rodgers, Karen Salisbury, and Tom, Don, and Michael Rodgers. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eva Rodgers, and siblings Tim, Alan and Gary Rodgers.
