Stephen P. Allison, 66, of Princeton, Iowa, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 3, 2015, in his home.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Private graveside services and entombment are Thursday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Vietnam Veterans of American, Chapter 299.
Stephen Paul Allison was born July 25, 1948, in Moline, to Mike and Marian (Ware) Allison. He was in the U. S. Army serving in Company E of the 75th Infantry Airborne Ranger Regiment in Vietnam. He earned several honors, including the Army Commendation Medal with Valor and three oak leaf clusters, Combat Infantry Badge, and Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze service stars, He later worked in Manufacturing Maintenance at the Rock Island Arsenal. He loved antique racing motorcycles.
Steve is survived by four sons and their wives, Boone and Ruth Allison of Port Byron, Illinois; Tobin and Michele Allison of Davenport, Iowa, Carlin Allison of Davenport, and Whitney Allison of Colona, Illinois; four grandchildren; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Craig and Pat Allison of Green River, Illinois, and Kevin Allison of Galva, Illinois.
