Stephen M. Weeks

Stephen M. Weeks, 71, of Davenport, Iowa, was loved by many in life. He died at home on Sunday, June 7, 2020.

An outdoor gathering to celebrate Steve’s life will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

Stephen Michael Weeks was born January 16, 1949, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Norris and Dora (Merritt) Weeks. He married the love of his life, Marilyn Kay Thoeming, on July 11, 2003, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He worked for Americold.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends. He was an avid card player and enjoyed performing in senior theater at CASI. Other hobbies included oil painting and leather crafting. Stephen will be remembered for his sense of humor and optimism.


Steve is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Cami (Jessie) Rocha, Stephenie (Brian) Meyers, Candice Roberts, Adam (Maria) Thoeming, Amy (Michael) Tax, and Carrie (Wade) Stierwalt of Bettendorf; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Doug (Cindy) Weeks, Valerie (Larry) Mitchell, Cindy Heren, and Ericka Weeks; sisters-in-law, Linda (Dave) Petersen, and Nancy (Jay) Gingrich; many extended family members and his special girls, Beaner, Cindy, Jenny, Judy and Kris. He was preceded in death by his parents.
