Stanley D. Nesbitt, 83, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, August 8, 2016, in his home.

Memorial services are 3 p.m. Thursday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory.

Stanley Dean Nesbitt was born October 29, 1932, in Liberal, Kansas, to William B. and Marjorie (Taylor) Nesbitt. He married Von D. McBeth in 1956, in Wauseon, Ohio. She died in 2008. He married Anne Brown Bell on November 12, 2008, in Rock Island. He had been employed in computer sales and real estate. He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. He was an avid sportsman, especially the Chicago Cubs. Family was important to him; he loved people and everyone was his friend.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Anne; three children and their spouses, Gay and David Miller of Houston, Texas, Tim and Kelly Nesbitt of Highland Village, Texas, and Todd and Beverly Nesbitt of Winona, Mississippi; a step-son and his wife, Jeff and Suzan Bell of Moline; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Nesbitt of Nassau, Bahamas.
