Susan L. Roberts 52, of Canton, Illinois, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church in Moline, with The Reverend Canon Edward A. den Blaauwen officiating. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park, Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Church Parish Hall. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Fulton County. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is entrusted with assisting the family.
The former Susan Srail was born October 3, 1955, in Moline, to Dr. James and Bernice (Cronk-Belden) Srail. She married Charles Roberts in 1979 in Moline. He died in September 2006.
Susan graduated from Moline Sr. High School in 1973, and the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1978. She moved to Canton in 1979 with her husband and they both began working as pharmacists for SuperX which later became CVS. Susan spent most of her 30 year career at the CVS Bartonville store, and then spent the last two years at the Canton CVS pharmacy where Charles spent his entire career.
Susan?s professionalism, caring, and dedication will be greatly missed by the many hundreds of patients she served over the years and by her friends and co-workers. She enjoyed movies, reading, mysteries, travel, and spending time with her friends and pets.
Susan is survived by her parents, of Moline; one brother, James Srail of Johnston, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews; her dog Molly and her cat Watson.
