Sondra C. White, 85, of Davenport, Iowa, died Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Private burial take place at a later date in Davenport Memorial Park.
Sondra Colleen Williams was born August 13, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Morris Ward and Georgina Pauline (Beard) Williams. After graduating from United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois, she married the love of her life, John Edward White on June 8, 1958, in Hampton, Illinois.
Years later they started a custom home building business, White House Homes, a very respected company in the Quad Cities, where they took much pride in building quality homes for many happy prospective buyers.
Sondra very much enjoyed traveling the world gathering many beautiful memories with her husband by her side. She also enjoyed long walks on Florida beaches, her loving dogs, and her many years spending winters in Tucson, Arizona with great friends. Most importantly, her love for God and Jesus was undeniable.
Sondra is survived by two children, Doug (Becky) White of Davenport, and Janne (Bill) Leete of Davenport; six grandchildren, Stevi Nicole Schaapveld, Hannah (Austin) Hoffner, Tyler (Justine) Marland, Tyler (Carlie) Paxton, Brady (Tori) Paxton, and Halee Leete; and 10 beloved great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John, and six siblings.
