Silvia G. Rosales

Silvia Rosales, 63, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, February 18, 2022, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 25, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, Moline, where the Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Silvia’s memory. Silvia believed funerals were a time to celebrate life. In her honor, the family requests that people do not wear black to the services.

Silvia was born December 25, 1958, in San Nicolás de los Agustinos, Mexico, the daughter of Hilario and Maria (Garcia) Ruiz. She married Ramon R. Rosales, Sr. on February 14, 1980.

Silvia loved hosting family and friends and cooking for them, volunteering in the Floreciente Neighborhood and other places, and had a great sense of humor. Family was the most important thing to her, especially her beloved grandchildren!

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ramon; four children, Ramon (Angela) Rosales, Jr. of Rock Island, Alberto (Taylar) Rosales of Geneseo, Edgar (Marina Aguirre) Rosales of Moline, and Silvia Maria Rosales of Moline; grandchildren, Nicolas and Lucas Rosales, and Elijah and Layla Solis; two brothers, Hilario (Maria) Ruiz of Moline, and Francisco (Claudia) Ruiz of Rock Island; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Father, Hilario Ruiz, Mother, Maria Rosales and Sister, Maria Rosales.
