Sidney D. Anderson, 74, of Milan, Illinois, died Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, East Moline.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is one hour prior to services.

Sidney Dwight Anderson was born March 24, 1948, in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Otto and Wilhemina Anderson. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He married Jackie Northcutt.

He worked at John Deere for over 30 years.

He belonged to the Milan American Legion, and enjoyed reading, spending time with family, karate, and Chicago Bears football.

Sidney is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie Anderson; a son, Ryan Anderson of Milan; step-daughter, Susan Holzer of Moline; and brothers, Kevin (Paulette) Anderson, Bryce Anderson, and Todd (Terry) Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
