Shirley J. Johnson

Shirley J. Johnson, 91, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Orchard Manor, Lancaster, Wisconsin.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial is in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to Orchard Manor, 8800 US-61, Lancaster, WI 53813.

The former Shirley Jean Millard was born June 17, 1931, in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Dallas Arkley and Marie (Vogler) Millard. She married Donald R. Johnson on August 18, 1951, in Moline. He died April 24, 1998.

She was a former member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing euchre. She also loved being a snowbird, making many friends during her time in Florida.

Shirley is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Karan Johnson of Platteville, Wisconsin, David and Deb Johnson of Sherrard, Illinois, and Dennis and Mary Johnson of Norwalk, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Judee Millard; six nieces; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Josiah Johnson; and a special friend, Mardis Aten.
