Sharon L Pulsifer, 72, well-known Moline, Illinois, attorney, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016, in Silvis, Illinois.
A memorial gathering will be 5 to 7 PM, Friday, February 12, 2016, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th St., Moline, with a time of sharing for family and friends at 6:30 PM. Memorials may be made to Bethany for Children and Families http://www.bethany-qc.org.
Sharon was born April, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1963 she married Harrison Pulsifer with whom she had four children. She graduated from St. Ambrose University before earning her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois in 1979.
Sharon was an advocate for children and families in the community for 35 years. In addition to running her own law practice specializing in family law, she served as guardian ad litem for Rock Island County, and made a run for State's Attorney in 2004. Sharon was a member of the Rock Island County Bar Association, Optimist club of Moline, Exchange Club of the Quad-Cities, and former president of the 23rd Avenue Business Association in Moline (later known as Friends of the Avenue).
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Vicki and Jay Moser of Cincinnati, Ohio, John and Jennifer of Grand Junction, Colorado, Douglas Pulsifer of Boston, Massachusetts, Roy Pulsifer of Moline, and her companion of 20 years, Robert Moon of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Binder.
