Sharon K. Sievers

Sharon K. Sievers, 71, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.

Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley, with The Rev. Robert Hagen officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to the church. Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, is serving the family.

The former Sharon Kay Bambauer was born March 9, 1947, in Moline, Illinois, to Myron and Norma (Ziegler) Bambauer. She married Martin Sievers on September 3, 1966, in Coal Valley. She was a clerk at the Rock Island Arsenal for 25 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and loved spending time with her family.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Martin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Jeramie Ransom and Amanda and Christopher Lucki, all of Coal Valley; grandsons, Brandon Castillo and Mason Ransom; and her brother, Jerry Bambauer of Coal Valley. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Norma and Byron Schlofeldt; her father, Myron Bambauer; and a daughter Julie Sievers in infancy.
