Scott J. Webster, 66, of Blue Grass, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in his home.
A memorial gathering will be held from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Military honors will be conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246 at 2 p.m. Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Scott Jon Webster was born April 8, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Bernard and Delores Schoneberg Webster. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was operations supervisor at MetroLink for 10 years, retiring in 2008. He married Kathy Sneath Pettingill on November 2, 2008, in Rock Island, Illinois. Hen enjoyed trains, fishing, cooking, and yard work.
Scott is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Scott Webster, Jr., of Lon Grove, Iowa, Jennifer Staggs Wolf and her husband Jim of Davenport, Iowa, Mindy Webster of Blue Grass, Leah Webster of Iowa City, Iowa, and Shannon Treiber and her husband Brett of Muscatine County, Iowa; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings and their spouses, Sue and Paul Castro of Bettendorf, Iowa, Stacy Webster of Bettendorf, Steve and Kathy Webster of Blue Grass, and Eileen and Andy Goodrich of Cedar Rapids.
