Beverly (Schillinger) Jones, 74, of East Moline, formerly of Coal Valley, died Monday, January 14, 2008, at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley. Visitation is 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
Beverly June Jones was born June 19, 1933, in Coal Valley, the daughter of Roscoe and Muriel (Bartlett) Jones. She married Floyd Schillinger in 1950.
Beverly owned her own ceramics business. She worked as a waitress for various restaurants, most notably at Ross? in Bettendorf. Most recently she worked at Greenview Memorial Gardens in Silvis.
Beverly is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Bill Ward of Orion, Illinois, Jan and Rod Versluys of Orion, and Donna Roedel of Boise, Idaho; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cheryl Schillinger of Colona, Illinois, and Gary and Bev Schillinger of Ava, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ilo Ristau of Coal Valley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Edmund and George (RunRun) Jones, and sisters, Monterey Ristau and Daisy Humphrey.
