Sandra Dee Jones, 51, of Coal Valley, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the University of Chicago Hospitals, after her inspiring nine month battle with leukemia.
A Memorial Visitation is 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley. Services will take place next week in South Dakota. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
The former Sandra Dee Eidsness was born November 5, 1960, in Redfield, South Dakota, the daughter of Floyd and Tessie (Housh) Eidsness. She was a proud member of the Redfield High School Class of 1979. She married her best friend, Daniel Jones, on December 21, 1979.
For 16 years, she was a dedicated employee of Steel Warehouse Company with her final position being John Deere Business Manager. She was a member of Association of Women in Metal Industries, where she served as co-membership chair.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Daniel, of Coal Valley, a daughter and son-in-law, Nycole and Byars Wells of Mishawaka, Indiana, and their children, Sawyer and Grayson, a son, Nathan Jones of Davenport, Iowa, and his children, Alexx and Dakota, her father and ?mom?, Floyd and Laura Eidsness of Redfield, five sisters, a half-sister, and a stepbrother. She was preceded in death by her mother and a step-sister, Kathleen Boyer.
