The former Sally Ann Herstedt was born August 31, 1940, in Moline, to Edward Carl and Catherine Emily (Needham) Herstedt. She had been married to Eddie DeBaker and Roy Setser. She was employed at Franks Club Napoli in Silvis for a number of years and was highly regarded as a favorite server by her customers and Franks owners. She had also been a dietary aid at Lutheran Hospital and American Nursing Home.
She loved watching QVC and ordering new dolls for her large collection, as well as Wheel of Fortune. She loved animals, especially her beloved pet yorkie Solomon. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren each had a special place in her heart. She had a wonderful sense of humor, had a smile for everyone and called everybody honey or sweetheart. She had a kind word for everyone and no one left her without her saying she loved them.
Sally is survived by three children and spouses, Julie and Rick Braet of East Moline, Kim and Jerry Smith of Rock Island, and Robert Setser; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Amy) DeBaker, Joshua Owen (Fiancée Eve Ryan), Jesse Owen, Kyle (Cynthia) Smith, and Kelsey (Josh) Webber; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron Herstedt of Moline and Wayne (Carolyn) Covault of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and her long time companion, Bob Mays of Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Crippen.
