Sally A. Jones

Sally A. Jones, 72, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020, at home.

Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet in the parking lot at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, at 1:45 p.m. Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.

The former Sally Ann Richards was born December 17, 1947, in Davenport, the daughter of Arthur I. and Jessie Bates (Merideth) Richards. She married Robert J. Swanson in May of 1965, and the couple had a daughter. She later married Mark Jones on December 19, 2009, in Davenport. He died November 5, 2015. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years.

Sally enjoyed photography, traveling with her husband, and gambling on the boats.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Robin Swanson of Davenport; a granddaughter, Merideth Hoggard of Princeton, Iowa; and two nephews, Paul and Patrick Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Arthur B. Richards.
