Ruth M. Dunn

Aledo, Illinois Funeral Services for Ruth Dunn, 93, of Aledo will be Monday at 2:00 PM at Sunbeam United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the Mercer County Nursing Home or Sunbeam United Presbyterian Church. Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo is in charge of arrangements. Ruth died on Friday, July 12, 2002 at the Mercer County Nursing Home. Ruth was born on July 20, 1908 in Ohio Grove Township, Mercer County, Illinois the daughter of Charles E. and Belle (Ramsey) Sharer. She married Wilbur D. Dunn on June 27, 1928 in Ohio Grove Township. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1980. Ruth and her husband farmed in the Ohio Grove Township. She was a member of the Sunbeam United Presbyterian Church. Ruth enjoyed gardening and visiting with friends and neighbors. Ruth was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed hearing about her grandchildren's accomplishments. Ruth is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Charles and Shirley Dunn of Eliza; daughter-in-law: Helen Dunn of Aledo; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a great great grandson. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Robert; a daughter-in-law, Kay Dunn; a great-grandson, Tyson Dunn and a brother, Edward Sharer.
