Russell P. Jett, 62, of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, November 16, 2013, in his home.
Visitation is 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a Time of Sharing at 6 p.m., in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Graveside services and burial are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities.
Russell Paul Jett was born April 16, 1951, in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Richard Thomas and Norene Hope Smith Jett. He married Jeannie Walter on February 24, 1974, and the couple later divorced. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and was a tool and die maker.
Russ is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mathew and Patrice Jett of Davenport, and Paul and Sara Jett of Franklin, Indiana; two grandchildren, Jacob and Olivia Jett; and brothers, Mark Jett and Sam Jett, both of Davenport.
