Russell E. Cowan

Russell E. Cowan, Jr., 24, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Thursday, June 11, 2015, at University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago.

Services are 3:00 p.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the family.

He was born December 19, 1990, in Rock Island, the son of Russell Sr. and Cheryl (Beason) Cowan. He enjoyed playing video games, music, dancing, writing, and fighting. More than anything, he loved spending time with his children, nieces and nephews.

Russell is survived by his parents, Russell Sr. and Cheryl Cowan of Memphis, Tennessee; children, Russell E. Cowan III and Terrez Cowan-Taylor; a step-daughter, Anaya Taylor; siblings, Shataria Beason of Moline, Ratiya Beason of Bettendorf, and Maurice Cowan of Davenport; grandparents, Harvey Cowan of Omaha, Nebraska, and Patsy Branigan of Rock Island; a significant other, Jarnesha Howard of East Moline; and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Beason Sr. and Tinnie (Hearn) Beason.
