Roy T. Huskey

Roy T. Huskey, 83, of East Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. 

Roy was born January 6, 1941, in Shelbyville, Arkansas, to Sidney and Cora (Green) Huskey. He graduated from Moline High School in 1959, and married the love of his life, Patricia Potter, on September 23, 1961, in East Moline. He served a 4 year apprenticeship as a tool and die maker at Williams & White Company, then continued his career with Farmall in Rock Island. Following Farmall, he moved to Springfield, Ohio, where he worked for Navistar until retiring in 1988 at the young age of 55. 

Roy was Master Mason and member of Doric Lodge #319 A.F. & A.M. He was known for being able to fix almost anything and was considered a master jack of all trades. He enjoyed golfing, and loved watching his grandchildren play sports. 

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Huskey; his sons, Mike (Traci) Huskey and Tim (Elaine) Huskey; and his grandchildren, Brady Huskey, Carter Huskey, Jacob Huskey and Maxwell Huskey. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted; and sister, Freedia.
