Ross A. Hall, 66, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport, Iowa.
Services are 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Ross Hall Memorial Fund, for a memorial to be designated by his family.
Ross Allen Hall was born July 25, 1949, in Moline, to Eric and Elizabeth "Betty" (Steinhauser) Hall. He married Margo LeComte on November 25, 1972, in Coal Valley. He was employed by the Village of Coal Valley for 37 years, retiring as City Superintendent in 2011. He was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley, and Valley View Golf Club, Cambridge. He was an avid golfer, a master woodworker, a loyal Green Bay Packer fan, and enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren play baseball.
Ross is survived by his wife, Margo; three children and their spouses, Nadine and Michael Wilson of Alpha, Erin and Thomas Luckey, and Brent Hall, all of Coal Valley; five grandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Wilson, and Bryce, Bengt, and Bennett Luckey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Jim Goode of New Windsor, Deb and John Cornelis of Colona, and Mindi and Mike Timm of Coal Valley; a sister-in-law, Katie Hall of New Windsor; Margo's parents, Norene and Richard LeComte of Rock Island; and Margo's sisters and their spouses, Pam and Bill Comstock of Tennessee, Kim and Tom Frazier of Port Byron, Melinda and Jack Davis of Missouri; and Alicia and Dan Johnson of Port Byron; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Brian Hall.
