Rosemary J. Winters

Rosemary J. Winters, 72, of Davenport, Iowa, who loved to be called “Mom” by her girls, departed her loving family on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 12, at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with The Rev. Kerry Hatfield officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport.

The former Rosemary Jane Marvin was born in Boscobel, Wisconsin, on April 2, 1949, to Shirley (Foust) and William Marvin. She went to West High School and was a proud Falcon. She married Francis Winters on January 30, 1971, in California. He died June 12, 2012.

Rosemary was the mother to Rose (Robert Myers), Victoria (Dave Olson), Paula (Judd Raymond), January (Brett Stanton), & Linda (Greg Burroughs), along with an honorary son, Mark. She raised her children with love and devotion and a lot of sass, in Davenport with her husband Francis E Winters.

She was hard working and loved what she did. She held a few positions in her life, McDonalds on Locust being her last. Rosemary was known for her spunky personality, her honesty ( sometimes too honest ) her dedication to everything from daily updates on where she was - to balloon mail. She enjoyed a good cold Pepsi and just making her rounds visiting everyone, and had a very giving heart. She was most proud of her family and her work ethic.

She is survived by her brothers, Steve, Eddie, and Chucky, and sisters, Joanne, Brenda, Susan, & Roxana.

Aside from the children she doted on, Rosemary had amazing grandchildren Martin & Lakyn, Jon & Ivy, Anaktren, Kameron, Kyra, Dustin, Tyler & Jazmyne, Hailey, Farrah, Ryan, Chance & Deanna, Devin, Jayden, Tatum, Alex, Frankie, Matt and Madi, Jessus & April, Cheyenne & Austin, and Alita, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is dancing in heaven with her husband Frank of 50 years, her parents, her son, Francis Jr., her sister, Mickey, and her granddaughter, Pyper.
