Rose M. Polacek, 90, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Monday, August 22, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday and one hour before the services.
The former Rose Marie Roets was born July 9, 1915, in East Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore and Celina (Verschorre) Roets. She married Oscar J. Polacek on April 26, 1933, in Rock Island. He died April 4, 2000.
She and her husband loved spending time at the home at River of Lakes Resort in Bagley, Wisconsin. She loved fishing, and fished until she was 89 years old, was an avid auction goer, and enjoyed camping, reading, and playing cards.
Rose is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Norene and Richard LeComte of Coal Valley, Juanita and Dale Coon of Houston, Minnesota, and Leona and George Husar of Coal Valley; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Wayne, in infancy, a grandson, a sister, and a brother.
