Ronald H. Myers

Ronald H. Myers, 69, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Harmony on Locust, Davenport.

Burial is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors.  Those wishing to attend should meet in the parking lot at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline, at 12:45 p.m.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.  

Ronald Harry Myers was born August 12, 1954, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Harry and Ruth (Farrow) Myers.  He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.  

Ron enjoyed working.  He worked at Blackhawk Foundry until its closing and then for Walmart for several years.   He also loved fishing.

Ron is survived by three children, Ronald Myers, Phillip (fiancé Katie Nicholson) Myers, and Amber Myers, all of Davenport; grandchildren, Ginger Clements, Angel Hackett, VerlynHope Griffieth, Wesley Plotke, Brianna Myers, A.J. Keown, and Alexis Myers; and a brother, Richard Myers.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Katie Myers Griffieth; grandsons, Kendall, Zachariah, and Dakota Griffieth; and siblings, Delmer “Curly” Carter, Elvin “Red” Carter, Shirely Younger and Michael Myers.
